# Privacy Policy for Cocktail Pal

**Effective date:** August 4, 2026

**Last updated:** August 4, 2026

Cocktail Pal: Drink Recipes ("Cocktail Pal," the "App") is provided by **[PUBLISHER LEGAL NAME]** ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you use the App, why it is handled, when it is shared, and the choices available to you.

## 1. Overview

Cocktail Pal does not require an account. Its recipe catalog and core recipe features are provided from content stored on your device.

The App stores your personal app content locally on your device. We do not operate a server that receives or stores that local content. The App does, however, use Google Mobile Ads to display advertisements. The advertising SDK automatically collects and shares certain device and usage data with Google as described below.

## 2. Information stored locally on your device

Depending on the features you use, the App may store:

- your My Bar inventory and pantry selections;

- favorites, recently viewed recipes, made-drink history, ratings, and tasting notes;

- disliked ingredients and shopping-list items;

- cocktails or mocktails you create, including their names, ingredients, quantities, notes, analysis results, and score history;

- onboarding status and age confirmation; and

- app settings, including drink mode, measurement units, appearance, and session preferences.

This information is used only to provide and personalize the App's features on your device. It is not uploaded to our servers or provided to Google Mobile Ads by the App as ad-targeting data.

Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled for the App's local data.

## 3. Information collected through advertising

The App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob) to provide banner, app-open, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements. According to Google's disclosure for the version of the SDK used by the App, the SDK automatically collects and shares:

- **IP address**, which may be used to estimate a device's general location;

- **app and ad interactions**, such as app launches, taps, and video views;

- **diagnostic information**, such as app launch time, hang rate, energy usage, and information about the performance of the App and advertising SDK; and

- **device and account identifiers**, including the Android advertising ID, app set ID, and, where applicable, other identifiers associated with accounts signed in on the device.

Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, ad measurement, and fraud prevention. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, device settings, consent choices, and applicable law. Non-personalized ads may still use general location, identifiers, or local storage for purposes such as frequency capping, aggregated reporting, and fraud prevention.

Information collected by Google Mobile Ads is encrypted in transit using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Google's handling of information is governed by its own policies. For more information, see:

- [How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services](https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites)

## 4. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell your locally stored app content. Information described in Section 3 is collected and shared through Google Mobile Ads with Google and, as applicable, advertising technology providers involved in delivering, measuring, and protecting advertisements.

When you choose to share a recipe, favorites list, or shopping list, the App opens Android's system sharing interface. The service or person you select receives the content you choose to send and handles it under their own privacy terms.

When you choose to send feedback, the App opens your selected email application. We receive the information you decide to include only if you send the message to our support address. Your email provider also processes the message under its own terms.

We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid governmental request, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and security. Because we do not receive the App's locally stored content, we cannot disclose content that remains only on your device.

## 5. Retention and deletion

Local app information remains on your device until you remove it. You can delete categories of data or clear all local data from the App's settings. Clearing the App's storage or uninstalling the App also removes its local information. Because this data is not stored on our servers, we cannot recover it or delete it remotely for you.

Google and other advertising providers retain information they collect according to their own policies and legal obligations. You can reset or delete your Android advertising ID in your device's privacy or ads settings. Where a consent or privacy-options interface is available, you may use it to review or change your advertising choices. You may also manage ad personalization through Google's Ads controls linked above.

If you email us, we retain your message and contact details only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or meet legal obligations.

## 6. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding personal information, such as the rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of information, and to object to or withdraw consent for certain processing. To make a request concerning information that we hold, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your request.

For information collected directly by Google or another advertising provider, please use that provider's privacy controls or contact that provider. We cannot access or delete information held only by a third party.

Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before consent was withdrawn. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.

## 7. International processing

Google and its advertising partners may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for information about its data-transfer safeguards.

## 8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures appropriate to the App's design. Local information is protected by Android's application sandbox, subject to the security of your device. Advertising data is encrypted in transit by the Google Mobile Ads SDK. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

## 9. Children

Cocktail Pal is intended for adults of legal drinking age and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through an account or our own server. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us by email, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

## 10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the App, its third-party services, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date above and, where required, provide additional notice. The version published at the privacy-policy URL applies to the current release of the App.
